Platform Data Centres UK Limited is responsible for personal information collected through this website and its enquiries. We trade as Platform and are registered in England and Wales, company number 16741328.

This policy covers website visits and initial business or careers enquiries. Further information may apply if you become a customer, supplier or employee.

Information we collect

When you enquire, we collect your name, email address, enquiry category, message and any organisation name you choose to provide. We also receive information you send in subsequent correspondence.

Our hosting, security and form providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times and security logs to deliver and protect their services. You choose whether to contact us. We ask for your name, email and message so we can understand and answer your enquiry.

Why we use it

• Answering enquiries and managing business relationships: our legitimate interests in responding to requests and developing customer, supplier and partner relationships. Where you personally ask us to take steps towards a contract, the basis is taking those steps at your request.
• Careers enquiries: considering and responding to your interest in working with us, including steps you request before a possible employment contract.
• Running and protecting the website: our legitimate interests in maintaining a reliable service, preventing spam and investigating misuse.
• Meeting legal obligations: complying with applicable record-keeping, regulatory or other legal requirements where these apply.

Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not use this form to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you by automated means.

Who receives your information

Your enquiry is directed to contact@platformdc.io and handled by the people who need it to respond. Where relevant, this may include colleagues responsible for Platform DC, Platform Modular or Platform FM.

We use website hosting, security, form delivery and email service providers. The website is hosted through OpenAI Sites. Online enquiries are transmitted through FormSubmit, provided by Devro LABS, which forwards them to our mailbox. FormSubmit states that it retains a submission archive for 30 days. You can email us directly if you prefer not to use the form.

Information may also be shared with professional advisers or public authorities where necessary for advice, legal obligations or the protection of rights. We do not sell enquiry information.

How long we keep information

We retain correspondence for as long as it is needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting relationship. We assess this by the enquiry’s status, the need for follow-up, contractual and statutory record-keeping requirements, and the need to establish or defend legal claims. Careers enquiries are retained only for the recruitment purpose for which they were provided and any relevant record-keeping obligations.

The form delivery provider’s 30-day submission archive is separate from correspondence held in our email system. Contact us if you would like information about retention of a particular enquiry.

International processing

Hosting, form delivery and email services may involve processing outside the UK.
